Welcome to Paws
Dobermans:
PAWS Dobermans, located in
Glendale, Arizona, are known for being dogs of good substance, bone,
structure, of stable temperament, intelligence, solid nerves, and
their excellent performance in obedience and working dog
environments. It is also a child of P.A.W.S. Dog Training Academy
and the name of a breeding program started in 1991 by Mark and Cindy
Ronnfeldt.
Mark purchased his first
Doberman, Baron Von Nudogen, in 1981 then moved to Phoenix
shortly thereafter. He started P.A.W.S. Dog Training Academy in 1985
where he met Cindy and they were married in 1988. Soon they obtained
two more Dobermans, Talon of Eagles Von Paws, UDX, WAC and
Pernicious Athena Von Paws, CDX, WAC. After owning Dobermans for
ten years and professionally training for six years, Mark and Cindy
decided to breed their first litter.
The “Excalibur” litter was
born on September 17, 1991 and was no ordinary litter of puppies.
Three puppies in that litter set many A.K.C. Obedience Title records
as they were the youngest Dobermans in history to receive their C.D.
(Companion Dog) title at six months six days old, their C.D.X.
(Companion Dog Excellent) at nine months nine days old, and the
male, King Arthur’s Storm Von Paws, UDX, finished his U.D.
(Utility Dog) at thirteen months. Their sire Talon of Eagles Von
Paws U.D.X. W.A.C. was the first male Doberman to receive a
U.D.X. (Utility Dog Excellent). These records stand to this day.
Pernicious Athena Von Paws C.D.X. handled by Cindy finished her
C.D.X. with a first place and a High Scoring Working Dog award.
In 1994 Mark and Cindy
contacted Ray Carlisle with Cara Dobermans and made the move to
European/American Doberman by purchasing Cara’s Diamond Von Paws,
UD, BH, WAC, (¾ German, ¼ American) and Cara’s Alexa Von
Paws, SchH I, CD, WAC (½ Russian, ¼ German, and ¼ American).
Diamond was trained and shown to his Utility Dog (U.D.) title
and qualified for 6 legs towards his Utility Dog Excellent (U.D.X.)
title, his German Bundeshund (B.H.), and his Working Aptitude
Certificate (W.A.C.) from the Doberman Pincher Club of America,
D.P.C.A. Alexa received her German Schutzhund I with a High
In Trial and her American Companion Dog (C.D.) title.
Cara’s Diamond Von Paws
U.D. B.H. W.A.C. was a great dog that sired many litters leaving
his influence on the breed. Caras Diamond Von Paws, UD, BH, WAC
and Cara’s Alexa Von Paws SchHI, CD, WAC only produced three
litters together, all exceptional in temperament and structure.
Their son, Paws Blade of Destiny C.D.X. was bred to a
Diamond granddaughter, Paws Renaissance Raven Knight in
2007 and produced Paws Black Oynx Tower, who is currently
competing in obedience with great results.
