Wow what an exciting spring show season!
We did it! Our first Doberman in the DPCA Top 20 Obedience. After years of putting together a training and breeding program of quality and sound dogs, Paws Black Onyx Tower, CD and Mark Ronnfeldt have been ranked 19th in the country by the Doberman Pinscher Club of America and their Top 20 Competition for the 2008-2009 show season.

Paws Black Onyx Tower, CD (Paws Blade of Destiny, CDX x Paws Renaissance Raven Knight, CD) will be turning 2 years old on July 5th. Onyx comes from a quality pedigree and is a Grandson to Cara’s Diamond von Paws, UD, BH, WAC (multiple High In Trial winner and High Combined winner) x Cara’s Alexa von Paws, SchH I, CD, WAC (SchH High In Trial winner).
Mark and Onyx are headed to California this weekend for the Ventura shows. Onyx has moved up into open and this will be his first shot at his CDX. Wish them luck.
More to come!
PAWS Black Onyx Tower, CD (PAWS Blade of Destiny, CDX x PAWS Renaissance Raven Knight, CD): Currently working toward the DPCA’s top twenty obedience competition. (It runs from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. To earn points, you have to receive a score of 195.0 or better (out of a possible 200) and those points are calculated throughout the year. When you get in the top 20, you are invited to compete at the DPCA’s National Convention in October. This year it is in St. Mitchell, Kentucky.) Onyx has received a score of 195+ in 8 out 14 shows with an overall average score (through April) of 195. His total Top 20 points earned are 1378.5 which places him 17th in the nation. He is consistent and looks great. We have a couple more shows in June to bring up that number so wish us luck!
PAWS Renaissance Raven Knight, CD (Wraith Apparition of the Knight, CD x PAWS Behold the Fantasy Knightmare, CDX): Yes, you read it right. Raven received her CD title in 3 shows with an average score of 192.5. Other than not a very good front and finisher, her healing and stays were great.
PAWS Evermore Pharaoh, CD (PAWS Blade of Destiny, CDX x PAWS Renaissance Raven Knight, CD)owned by Diane Kober & Mark Ronnfeldt: Pharaoh is currently working towards his CDX. He has 1 leg and we are looking for 2 more in Flagstaff in June. Pharaoh is SO much like his Great Grandfather, Cara’s Diamond Von Paws, UD, BH, WAC, that he loves to bark in the ring. He gets so excited, like a tea kettle, he springs a leak. K His training in Utility is coming along very well and we wish him success in Flagstaff.
Lilly R Metzger, CD owned by Danny & Kim Metzger: Lilly is our honorary Doberman member. As a German Shepherd, she sticks out in a crowd of Dobermans, but we figure, she’s black & tan and her ears stand so she can’t be too far off. J Lilly finished her CD this year and is currently in training for her CDX. We are hoping she will be ready for the Flagstaff shows this June.
